Communications Manager – Happy Feet Home Foundation

- Role: Communications Manager
- Description: I lead communications strategy across donor relations, social platforms, the Annual Report, and a documentary-style beneficiary video series for this paediatric palliative care organisation, writing, editing, and directing footage shot by the on-ground team, manage website, after negotiating a shift to remote, part-time work.
Location - Hybrid, Mumbai, India
Duration - July 2024 to April 2026 · Full-time
- Role: Communications Manager
- Description: Shot video, researched, and spoke directly with beneficiaries to gather their stories with dignity and consent, then turned that into donor communications, social content, the Annual Report, and video production, all on-site at HFHF's Mumbai office.
- Built HFHF's brand guidelines and social media strategy from scratch — there was no consistent visual or communications identity in place before I joined.
- Every post and donor communication is designed around a clear communication goal, not around chasing reach. Development communication rarely goes viral, but the content builds trust among well-wishers, donors, potential donors, and beneficiaries.
